General Scope and Summary
SAGE Therapeutics is searching for a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of Senior Manager, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) & Value Demonstration, Value Communications. The Senior Manager, HEOR will support Value Communications and Health Economics and Outcomes Research strategies with an initial focus on zuranolone. The Senior Manager will report to and work closely with the Associate Director, HEOR, Value Communications to support the tactical development and coordination of US value communications materials, both pre-and post-launch and other high-value, high-impact activities across the team for zuranolone with a multi-stakeholder perspective. This position will collaborate and integrate with HEOR zuranolone research team as well as other functions, such as Market Access, Medical Affairs, Medical Training, Regulatory, Investor Relations, and other functions as necessary.
Roles and Responsibilities

Help support development of and maintain value proposition to ensure effective and impactful communication of the product value from a multi-stakeholder perspective.

Support implementation of the strategic communication plans for zuranolone, including studies on burden of illness, real-world clinical outcomes, epidemiology, economic evidence, and unmet need.

Coordinate development of materials to support customer-facing interactions based on clinical, scientific, and pharmacoeconomic evidence.

Collaborate with HEOR zuranolone research and Market Access teams to develop communications materials to support value-based access, employer engagements, and other evidence-based research collaborations.

Help support the development and coordination of high-quality dossiers, manuscripts, slide decks, white papers, investor materials, and related documents.

Assist in conducting training of HEOR customer-facing team on materials and content to support interactions.

Help support the development materials for internal and Alliance communications of HEOR activities and deliverables.

Develop HEOR guidance documents to support communication.

Support publications training of HEOR activities.

Conduct targeted reviews of the literature to identify evidence to inform dossiers.

Work with Medical Affairs to develop responses to external stakeholder questions or requests.

Support multiple projects and ensure successful, on-time completion of value communication projects.
Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Must have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, and the ability to identify issues and raise to key stakeholders in order to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs, and recommendations.
Basic Qualifications

Advanced degree in epidemiology, health economics, pharmaceutical sciences, or related discipline (MS, MPH, PharmD, PhD).

5+ years of HEOR experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in pharmaceutical industry or related industries (e.g., consulting) preferred.

Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, complex clinical, economic, and commercial information to internal and external stakeholders. Able to ‘tell a story’ with HEOR data.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work individually, within a multi-disciplinary team, as well as with external partners and vendors.

Experience with life science and health economics medical writing/communications.

Broad understanding of US reimbursement systems.

Strong team player that has a customer service approach and is solution-oriented.

Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously across a variety of health outcomes methodologies and therapeutic areas.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Ability to travel approximately 10-20% time.

Benefits and Compensation
The base salary hiring range for this position is $145,200 - $199,650.*
- The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, education, skills, and performance.
- This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan; the bonus varies based on performance and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
